India’s First Middleweight 4-Cylinder Supersport Bike to Challenge Yamaha R15

Kawasaki has officially unveiled its latest offering, the Ninja ZX-4R, in the Indian market. Priced at ₹8.49 lakhs (ex-showroom), this sports bike positions itself between the Ninja 650 and the Ninja 400 models in the Kawasaki lineup. The company has announced that deliveries for the bike will commence just before the festive season, starting from the first week of October.

The Kawasaki Ninja ZX-4R Bike boasts dual all-LED headlamps and design elements inspired by the Ninja ZX-10R, including its tail light. Even the turn indicators are crafted as LED units. It features a full digital instrument cluster and integrated riding modes – Sport, Road, Rain, or Rider-selectable. Kawasaki claims that these distinct riding modes make it easy for riders to choose traction control and power mode levels according to different riding conditions.

Under the sleek bodywork, the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-4R is powered by a 399cc liquid-cooled, 4-stroke inline-4 engine, delivering 76 horsepower, which can be bumped up to 79 horsepower, and generating 39 Nm of torque. This powertrain is mated to a 6-speed gearbox with a slipper clutch.

The Ninja ZX-4R comes equipped with Bluetooth connectivity, turn-by-turn navigation, and notification updates on a 4.3-inch TFT screen. It also features dedicated track modes for all-LED lighting and the instrument cluster.
